Starting this week, Saturday 7 November, Saturday Squad will be on a rolling 4+ 1 schedule.
Each month we will have:
1st Saturday – volunteer coaches running WT, strength, Metafit and Park Run session. The exact format will be announced in the week beforehand, depending on who the coach is. This is a free session.
2nd Saturday – swim, bike and run with Coach Toby at Manly Heated Pool.
3rd Saturday – swim squad at the Manly Pool, 90 minutes, followed by a bike ride.
4th Saturday – swim, bike and run with Coach Toby at Manly Heated Pool.
5th Saturday – this is the +1 session. If the month as five Saturdays, we will have a duathlon session at Birkdale.
JDS members are welcome at all sessions and we will have wind trainers available for anyone who prefers to use them.
Start time is 6.00 am until the end of April.
All of this is also on our Calendar Page.
Each Sunday at 5.30 am, members of the club set off from Manly Pool on a ride. Sometimes we ride as a single group, sometimes we break up into smaller groups, dependent on who turns up.
If you want to get more time in the saddle, it’s a lot easier in company. Check the Facebook group of contact training@BaysideMultisport.org.au for details of what’s happening each weekend.
No matter what speed you ride at, or how far you can go, we’ll do what’s needed to make sure everyone has company.
Raby Bay 6 December 2016
The Raby Bay event in the first week of December has developed into a big event for the club, with a strong showing of members, and this year is going to be huge. We will have the club tents and a sausage sizzle for members.
To help everyone to prepare for the event and to encourage more socialising among our members, we will be putting out a generic program for the four weeks leading up to the Raby Bay race. This will be great for beginners, or for those of us who sometimes have trouble finding the motivation to do the training 🙂
More details will be posted soon.
Junior Squad is getting bigger each week. We’re at the pool for the next two Saturdays, then Murarrie on the 21st November.
